In Ojai, Meiners Oaks, and Oak View, where the oak canopy is the valley's identity, do not preemptively remove a healthy tree; verify with the Ventura County Fire Department first. Beyond five feet
On the hillsides above Ventura, along the Ojai Valley's edges, and on the Camarillo hills, Zone 0 is only the innermost ring: Zones 1 and 2 (5 to 30 and 30 to 100 feet) still govern the broader property.
